7 Value & Sleeper Picks Ahead Of Week 12 DFS Main Slate

  • DraftKings has Josh Allen priced at $7,600.
  • Alvin Kamara is priced at $8,200.
  • DeAndre Hopkins is the highest priced wide receiver on DraftKings.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Sunday’s action of the NFL will feature a 12-game schedule that offers plenty of talent at every position. That being said, daily fantasy football GM’ should begin searching around for fantasy sleepers and players that offer value.

The one thing to keep in mind here when looking for players to draft are ones that are likely to be less owned so that they offer more value than normal. Although some of the more expensive players on daily fantasy sites might be more owned, they still offer value as well if they can back up their price with their points scored.

Quarterbacks

Value, Josh Allen, $7,600: There is no doubt that Josh Allen has been one of the most up and coming quarterbacks this season as he has thrown for 2,871 yards and 21 touchdowns on the season which are both good for the top-10 amongst all quarterbacks.

Allen did see a stretch of games where he struggles a bit but has since bounced back in his last two games where he has gone for 39 and 29.4 fantasy points. Something else also that should be kept in mind is the matchup that he has with the LA Chargers who are ranked as the 28th defense when defending against opposing quarterbacks.

Allen should have no problems here going for a third straight performance as the Chargers have allowed over 160 yards and two touchdowns in each of their last three games.

Value, Justin Herbert, $7,200: Another quarterback with tremendous value in Week 12 is Allen’s opponent, Justin Herbert.

Herbert has made his case for a top-10 quarterback during his rookie season as he has thrown for 2,699 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. Herbert is going into Week 12 coming off of his best game throwing the ball yet as he went for 366 yards and three touchdowns for 30.7 points.

He also has a very nice matchup here in Week 12 against the Bills who are ranked 31 against opposing quarterbacks. The Bills are coming off two straight games where they allowed the opposing quarterbacks to go for 390 and 244 yards. That being said, Herbert could be in line for a giant game throwing the ball.

Running Backs

Value, Alvin Kamara, $8,200: Alvin Kamara has been having one of his best seasons yet in the league as he has the most scrimmage yards amongst all running backs with 1,179 total yards on the season.

He is also the number one ranked fantasy football running back in 2020 as well and the fact that he is not the highest priced receiver should have daily fantasy GM’s jumping to add him. Something else to point out here is that in the last two games that Kamara has scored under 20 fantasy points, he has followed up with a performance of over 22 points or more.

Sleeper, Nick Chubb, $7,100: Those fantasy GM’s that follow the NFL should know that Nick Chubb is not considered a sleeper pick as he is the RB1 for the Browns. But injuries and time off have hindered his overall season stats.

In the six games that Chubb has played, he has gone for 575 yards and five touchdowns. He also has a nice matchup here in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars defense that ranks way down at 28 against opposing running backs.

They are coming off of a game where they allowed the opposing team’s RB1 to go for 89 rushing yards. Something else to keep in mind is that in Chubb’s first two games back from injury, he has put up 114 rushing yards or more in both games which he also hit the over for his rushing yard totals on legal sports betting sites as well.

Wide Receivers

Value, Tyreek Hill, $7,800: Tyreek Hill offers tremendous value here, especially at his lower asking price. Hill has been on an absolute tear in his last two games where he has gone for over 100 receiving yards in both games for 36.1 and 30 fantasy points.

Hill is going into this game with a nice matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that ranks 22 against opposing receivers and is coming off of arguably their worst game of the season where they allowed not one but two opposing receivers to go for 130 receiving yards or more.

Knowing this, Hill could use this to his advantage and not be phased at all by the coverage the Buccaneers throw at him.

Sleepers, DJ Moore, $6,200: Moore seemed to have been having himself a little bit of a below-average season, but he has been starting to pick up over the last two games. Moore has gone for over 95 yards in each of his last two games which have gone for 19.6 and 24.8 fantasy points which includes a 127-yard game just last week.

Moore has a more than favorable matchup here in Week 12 against one of the weakest defenses in the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are coming off of a game where they allowed 203 receiving yards and three touchdowns to a below-average Dallas Cowboys offense.

Fantasy GM’s should be taking advantage of Moore’s Week 12 matchup.

Tight End

Value, Darren Waller, $6,000: Waller has easily been a top-three tight end this season as he has gone for 519 yards and five touchdowns. He is coming off of one of his better games this season where he went for 88 yards and a touchdown for 21.8 fantasy points.

Luckily for Waller, he has a nice matchup in Week 12 against arguably the worst NFL secondary in the league in the Atlanta Falcons that has allowed for 233 and 313 receiving yards in their last two games.

Where things get tricky here for the Falcons defense is that Waller usually lines up in the slot position which is one of the areas that the Falcons truly struggle to defend.
