Arthur L. Morneau
Derry, N.H. – Arthur L. Morneau, 89, of Derry, N.H., died peacefully after a special family visit at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, N.H. He was surrounded by a very loving nursing staff.
Arthur was born in Lawrence, Mass., where he grew up, was educated and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was a resident of Derry, N.H. for the past 33 years.
Arthur was a retired machinist for G & A Machine in Salem, N.H. and worked for many years at Bolton Emerson in Lawrence, Mass. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry, N.H. and the former Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, Mass. He enjoyed watching sports with his grandchildren, especially the Patriots, gardening, and playing cards. He was also an avid stamp, coin, and baseball card collector. He loved taking his wife out to dinner and a fun night of Bingo.
Arthur was predeceased by his beloved wife Pauline (Goulet) Morneau and his daughter Linda Girard. He enjoyed 67 wonderful years of marriage prior to her passing in 2018. They did everything together and were best friends.
He is survived by his children: Nancy and her husband Michael Mayo of Belmont, N.H., Christine and her husband Greg Saab of Haverhill, Mass., Steve Morneau of Lawrence, Mass., and Rick Morneau of Idaho. Grandchildren: John and his wife Trie Michaud of Derry, N.H., Bill and his wife Tiffany Michaud of Derry, N.H., Tom and his wife Kelly Salovitch of Sandown, N.H., Jessica and Joshua Saab of Haverhill, Mass. Great-grandchildren: Tyler and his wife Raquel Michaud, Dylan Michaud, Sophie and Scarlett Salovitch; and a great-great-granddaughter: Olivia, Sister: Marie and her husband Joe Castiglione of Woburn, MA, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private for the family. The Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH has care of Arthur’s arrangements.
