- Torino have lost nine of their opening 18 games
- Benevento have won six of nine matches against sides from 10th and below
- The hosts have won to nil in two of three home games against bottom-half sides
Opportunity for hosts
It’s been a dreadful start to 2021 for Benevento, but could the hosts see their fortunes turn around when they meet a Torino side who are on course for the drop?
Torino have only won two of their first 18 league games this season (D7 L9). The visitors have found themselves in the bottom three as a result, while they have picked up only seven points from their last eight matches in Serie A.
Benevento’s second ever Serie A campaign is going much better than the first, with the hosts in 11th place. The difference this time around is that they’re managing to mix it with the league’s poorer sides.
While Benevento’s record against the top nine is poor – taking two points from a possible 27 – they’ve been a better match for the rest. The hosts have won six and lost two of their other nine, which has us backing the hosts against 18th placed Torino.
With Benevento winning to nil in two of their three home meetings against bottom-half sides, we’re backing a narrow win for the hosts. Torino have lost by a single goal in over half of their Serie A losses this term, which leaves a 1-0 win as our prediction.
