Things have gone very well so far for GGPoker‘s recent MTT innovation. Flip & Go, the site’s latest offering has been positively received by players since it was launched just over a week ago.
Initially, Flip & Go had three buy-in levels: $0.50 ($300 GTD), $3.00 ($1,000 GTD), and $20.00 ($2,000). Now, the game has been expanded with the addition of a new rake-free tournament which you can play for only $0.05. With this modest entry fee, you’ll get the chance to win a share of at least $50 in total prize pool.
The $0.05 MTTs have quickly gained traction and is now pulling in the most entrants, though participation numbers across the other three buy-in levels are also strong. According to a representative for GGPoker, the latest upgrade was made based on community feedback.
How to Play Flip & Go MTTs
Flip & Go tournaments enable players to jump all the way into the hottest action with just two stages.
But first, you need to select the buy-in multiplier of your preference. This will determine the amount of stack you’ll have at the beginning of play. The higher the multiplier, the larger the stack.
The actual action begins with the flipout phase where you’ll receive three hole cards. Among those cards, you need to choose which one to discard so that you’re left with just two cards to play with. During this stage, you can also earn additional chips if your three hole cards make a ranked hand, like a straight or better, and you can win up to 4x your starting stack!
The winner from each table will then advance to stage two where the game continues as a standard Hold’em tournament.
GGPoker’s Flip & Go combines the appeal of both the higher variance games and the traditional tournament format. It is primarily aimed at the casual players, the amateurs and beginners, who have now become the main focus of most operators.
While new game offerings and features don’t always impress players, consistent innovation is key to finding what works and it looks like GGPoker has got it right.
