The $150,000 American Beauty Stakes will run as Race 8 on the Jan. 30 card at Oaklawn Park.
The event for 4-year-olds and up will cover six furlongs and include names like Frank’s Rockette, Amy’s Challenge, and Lady’s Island among the field of nine.

Betting Preview: Frank’s Rockette, Amy’s Challenge
The morning-line favorite coming in at 2/1 is Frank Fletcher Racing Operations’ Frank’s Rockette. The 4-year-old Into Mischief filly is trained by Hall of Famer Bill Mott.
She has a career record of 6-4-0 from 11 starts and earnings of $606,103.
Last time out, she took 11th in the Nov. 7 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Keeneland. The filly scored the Oct. 3 Gallant Bloom Handicap (G2) at Belmont Park, registering a 99 Speed Figure, and the Sept. 5 Prioress Stakes (G2) at Saratoga, where she registered a 108 Speed Figure. Her other performances include a July 4 victory in the Victory Ride Stakes (G3) at Belmont.
Frank’s Rockette will break from post 7 under rider Florent Geroux.
She will be up against the second-choice Amy’s Challenge, coming in at 3/1. The 6-year-old mare from Artie Schiller is owned by Novogratz Racing Stables and trained by McLean Robertson.
She is 8-4-2 from 19 career starts with earnings of $647,273.
Her most-recent performance was a Nov. 6 victory in the McConnell Springs Stakes at Keeneland, where she registered a 99 Speed Figure. She also took fifth in the Sept. 5 Alma North Stakes at Laurel Park, first in an Aug. 8 allowance optional claiming race at Delaware Park, and seventh in the July 11 Madison Stakes (G1) at Keeneland.
Amy’s Challenge will break from post 6 under jockey Francisco Arrieta.
Betting Preview: Lady’s Island
Another runner to look out for is Matties Racing Stable and Averill Racing’s Lady’s Island. The 7-year-old mare from Greatness is trained by Georginia Baxter.
She is 17-5-4 from 34 career starts with earnings of $604,195.
She is coming off a Dec. 12 victory in the Sugar Swirl Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park, which followed a sixth-place run in the Oct. 3 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (G2) at Keeneland. She also took second in the Sept. 6 Honorable Miss Handicap (G2) at Saratoga and third in the July 25 Ana T. Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Lady’s Island will break from the outside post 9 under David Cabrera.
