Tuscarawas Senior Citizens to hold luncheon


TUSCARAWAS The Tuscarawas Senior Citizens group (those 50 years and up) will be meeting at Tuscarawas VFW on Tuesday.

The group is also inviting any senior citizens from Gnadenhutten and Port Washington to be a guest for the luncheon, brief meeting, social time and activities.

All are welcome to enter at the side entrance (south side of the VFW building) anytime from 11:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., utilizing the back portion of the facility, joining the group at the time best suited to any persons attending.

Lunch, provided by the Tuscarawas group, will be served at noon after the Pledge of Allegiance and grace.

Village rresidents from Gnadenhutten, Tuscarawas and Port Washington are being asked to give a brief update on the state of affairs for their village.

There will be a brief meeting after the luncheon, followed by fellowship and bingo for any who care to partake. Anyone is welcome to bring two white elephant gifts, wrapped or unwrapped, to be used as prizes for the bingo activity.

Social distancing and masking are acceptable as well as recommended.’ Plan to arrive masked at the side entrance and socially distanced as per the arrangement and spacing in this large back room.

Calls or texts may be left at 330-243-1166 with names, which village and the number by count of those who plan to attend. This will facilitate better planning for the appropriate number of luncheon guests. Voicemails and questions are encouraged at that number as well. Those attending are welcome and encouraged to pass along this information.

The front of the facility will be open to its members at noon, with any guests welcome to use the facility and enjoy the front half of the building as per their desire.
