Betting Preview: Deiveson Figueiredo (19-1-0)
Figueiredo is currently the flyweight champion and is also on a four-fight winning streak. His most recent bouts this year had him facing Joseph Benavidez two times in a row after issues with the first fight. However, he won both events easily with a TKO and then a submission.
His fighting resume shows nine wins by knockout, seven by submission, and three by decision. Out of his 19 victories, he has 10 of those being finished within the first round by both knockouts and submissions.
“Deus Da Guerra” has a striking accuracy at 55% and a grappling accuracy at 50%. He lands 2.80 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 2.81. This is an excellent 1:1 ratio here with a steady amount on both sides and shows that he could look to be more aggressive.
Figueiredo has a takedown defense at 61% and a significant strike defense at 51%. He also averages 1.71 takedowns and 2.90 submissions every 15 minutes.
Betting Preview: Alex Perez (24-5-0)
Perez is stepping into this fight as being ranked the fourth-best fighter in the flyweight division. He is currently on a three-fight winning streak, which includes his last bout with a TKO victory over Jussier Formiga. Formiga is the only one to hand Figueiredo his first loss back in 2019.
His fighting resume shows that he has five wins by knockout, seven by submission, and 12 by decision. Out of his 24 victories, he has 11 first-round finishes with a combined effort of knockouts and submissions.
He has a striking accuracy at 47% and a grappling accuracy of 50%. He lands 4.68 significant strikes a minute and absorbs 3.10. This is an excellent ratio, as he delivers a nice volume of significant strikes while also defending well.
Perez has a takedown defense at 87% and a significant strike defense at 61%. He also averages 3.03 takedowns and 1.40 submissions every 15 minutes.

Perez has some work to do if he wants to knock off Figueiredo. He is a solid technical striker and also will use the ground to his advantage.
With that being said, Figueiredo is arguably the better striker and just as good on the ground. His recent submission victory over Benavidez speaks volumes that he can submit just about anyone. Overall, this one appears to be an early exit.
